Day 57&58 ----> Becoming Younger

Friday May 22nd
The scene:
Threshold Choir practice. Putting up Garage $ale signs --- having directional signs to my house made me think of something rather abstract. Without good signs, no one would have found the house and gotten what I had to offer - we both would have lost. The abstract question is: What do MY signs look like? What does someone who's about to approach me read Energetically? Are my signs clear, welcoming and colorful? Or confusing, dark and purposefully hard to read? I know how I'd like them to be, and I know sometimes they sure ain't that...

Upon Rising: 32 oz water w/ alkalizing pH drops; 1/2 tsp therapeutic enzymes
AM: ----
Breakfast: 2 lb mulberries
Lunch: 3 C spinach tomato soup; 3 x botija olives; 1 veggie pulp cracker; little broccoli; 1 x power wrap
Snack: 1 x contrast cookie
Dinner: 32 oz veggie juice; 2 x power wraps

What was Walker about today?
  • Mono breakfast meal of 1-2 pounds fruit - textbook Walker
  • Lunch had nice variety...even though I've eaten the same thing 5 days in a row :) I don't like thinking about food all that much and this meal is so easy and fresh! I'll look for a new soup this week to give my body a change.
What did I discover today?
  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wso13n4kHZ4 --- Wild Jungle Luv (nothing kinky). I particularly was awakened by the line this man said almost at the very end. "If I had the opportunity to come back after dying, I would do it all the same." How many moments can we say that about? He's obviously in his dharma and I'm truly moved by that possibility.
  • My overeating kinda fixed itself once I acknowledged it. I don't expect that gift every time, but woo-hoo!

Saturday May 23rd

The scene: Garage $ale! What a heartwarming experience to see the adoption of my stuff to new homes. Didn't sleep a wink last night, just tossing and turning -- combination of chocolate yesterday from the cookie I ate, and having so many excited thoughts about life. I lasted until the end of the $ale and then passed out for 4 hours.

Upon Rising: 32 oz water w/ alkalizing pH drops; 1/2 tsp therapeutic enzymes
AM: ----
Breakfast: 1/4 C walnuts; 4 x medjool dates
Lunch: 3 C spinach tomato soup; 3 x botija olives; little broccoli; 1 radish; 1 tomato w/ veggie pulp crackers
Dinner: 1/2 apple

What did I discover today?
This was Video taped about 3 months ago. Thank you to those who requested it so that I could get the lead out. My dog gets fed Raw Food, like me. Here's what I feed him:

Raw Doggie Gloop

[3 parts] - slightly changed from video

For easy blending do the seeds in 2 x batches with the chia
1st Blend:
2 C raw sunflower seeds
2/3 blender full of water
1/4 C chia seed (1 tsp per meal)
Blend and Pour out

2nd Blend:
2 C raw sunflower seeds
2/3 blender full of water
1/4 C chia seed
Blend and Pour out

3rd Blend:
3/4 C vitamineral green or any green food
3/4 C coconut oil (1-2 T per meal)
1 1/2 C hemp protein powder (3-4 T per meal)
3/4 blender full of water

Add Desired Enhancements to 3rd Blend:
1/3 C brewers yeast
1/4 C lecithin
1/2 T celtic sea salt
4 packets Goat mineral whey (about 2 T per packet)
1/4 C sproutein
2 C Veggie Pulp/Scraps - *best used only in smaller batches or it spoils...alternatively you can freeze the doggie gloop you will not use within 2 days and it keeps fine. I just started making veggie pulp biscuits (pulp, ground flax, little salt - formed into balls and dehydrated) for him to get the pulp in his body.

Final Touches:
1.5 C of the gloop (I feed Buckley Bear this amount twice per day)
Organic Nutiva Hemp oil - 1 tsp squeezed over the top of food when ready to serve
1-2 x organic carrots

*Notes*
We're pioneers with this Raw Vegan Doggie thingy.
I imagine we all just want what is best for our pets, like we want for our children.
With that in mind, there are short-term and long-term factors to consider.

Here's a story to illustrate my point:

  • 45 year raw foodist and holistic doctor, Fred Bisci of NY, had dogs that were raw vegan for many years. There were no problems until one of the dogs needed minor surgery and died because of the drugs he was given. Now Fred feeds his dogs organic raw meat kibble in addition to all the other raw vegan yummies he's always given them. This makes the dogs less sensitive, and therefore more resistant to toxins and possibly needed surgeries in the future.
  • My puppy is 12 1/2 years young...He was in bad shape when we got him. This diet works for him especially well becauase of his age.
  • I think if I had a younger dog, I would include raw meat and eggs in his diet. You might want to consider supplementing with that as well a few times a week.
  • I will continue feeding Buckley this diet as long as it's working to give him the best quality life available.
He still eats meat if he finds something on the street or whatever...he hasn't stopped desiring all things edible...
Some breeds reject meat in their diet.
Ah the possibilites!

Good Luck...

  1. That lion video was absolutely amazingly beautiful to watch. Can't wait to show my 9 year old daughter, who wants to run a tiger rescue when she grows up! :)
